Literacy Network supporters

We are an organisation managed by its volunteers.

Literacy Network remains indebted to the volunteers who give their time (and personally donated resources) to maintain and manage the network: the tutors, the tutor trainers and management team, our president, treasurer, secretary, website officer, grants officer, librarians and general committee members.

Through the last difficult Coronavirus years, we have continued to support our students either face-to-face (when appropriate) or by online ‘zoom’ lessons. We have also been able to train additional tutors.

To our corporate supporters

Thank you, your grant monies from 2019 enabled us to continue our teaching and training programmes and our community support during 2019-2022.

We acknowledge Northern Beaches Council and the service organisations in the Manly Warringah are who have assisted us over many years. During 2022 and the lockdowns of 2020 and 2021 we relied on their support. The monies we received enabled us to develop new projects, defray the expense of premises used for teaching and tutor training, and to purchase new student and tutor resources.

We would also like to thank the Community Centres and Libraries of the Northern Beaches for distributing our flyers, providing a venue for our student-tutor meetings, and for their referrals to LitNet.

Northern Beaches Council

We gratefully acknowledge the ongoing community grant support of Northern Beaches Council. We thank their staff for their help and encouragement, and their acknowledgment of the services we provide to the community.

Dee Why RSL

We appreciate the support we have received from Dee Why RSL Club in 2022, and urge our volunteers, students and friends to support the club and its excellent facilities.

Balgowlah RSL Club

We appreciate the support we have received from Balgowlah RSL Memorial Club in 2019. Their community grant helped us to continue our activities during Coronavirus lockdowns in 2020-2021.

Pittwater RSL Club

We appreciate the support we have received from Pittwater RSL Club in 2019. Their community grant helped us to continue our activities during Coronavirus lockdowns in 2020-2021.

Donations

We are an organisation managed by its volunteers.

We provide one-to-one free English lessons for adults to improve their reading writing and speaking skills.

If you would like to help, please consider making a donation to Literacy Network. We rely on our volunteers, community grants and donations to keep our work going. We are not registered as a DGR charity, so donations are not tax deductible.
